Bharatiya Kisan Union President Gurnam Singh Chaduni and Haryana Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Devender Singh on Saturday announced to conclude the week-long agitation in Karnal.

 A meeting of farm leaders with local administration has begun in Karnal here on Wednesday with farmers demanding action against SDM Ayush Sinha and an independent inquiry in the matter.

Farmers protest that began from kisan mahapanchayat at Anaj Mandi on Tuesday morning in Haryana's Karnal has entered its second day in front of the mini-secretariat as more and more people from the surrounding areas continue to join the sit-in demonstration.

Farmers' meeting with the Karnal Deputy Commissioner at the mini-secretariat here on Tuesday, ended without any conclusion.

Political activist Yogendra Yadav, after the meeting, told media, "We held three rounds of talks with the DC and SP. It was attended by 15 representatives. All we demanded was strict action against the IAS

An 11-member farmers delegation from the kisan mahapanchyat presently going on here, has presented a memorandum of their demands to the Karnal Deputy Commissioner at the secretariat.
