The Gidha Club of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College (BBSBEC), Fatehgarh Sahib, organized a vibrant cultural event in the college auditorium to mark the auspicious occasion of Teej. The festival, dedicated to the glory and elegance of ‘Gidha’, the traditional folk dance of Punjab, witnessed participation from over 400 students and faculty members from various departments. The campus came alive as girls, dressed in their finest traditional Punjabi attire, participated enthusiastically in activities such as mehndi application, pranda tying, peengh swings, traditional singing, and dancing. The venue was beautifully decorated with colorful flowers and rangoli, adding to the festive spirit.
In the cultural competitions, Rajbir Kaur (B.Tech. 2nd Year, Computer Science) was crowned Miss Teej, while Jaismandeep Kaur (BBA 1st Year) and Amritjot Kaur (B.Tech. 2nd Year, Computer Science) were declared first and second runners-up respectively. In the talent round, Amritpal Kaur and Jashanpreet Kaur bagged the Miss Talent title.
