The Centre Tuesday announced a new Vande Bharat train service between Ferozepur and Delhi, and also sanctioned ₹202.99 crore for the Mohali-Rajpura rail link, a project originally approved in 2017 but stalled for years due to administrative delays.
The announcements were made by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu.
The new Vande Bharat train will depart from Ferozepur at 7.55 am, halting at Faridkot, Bathinda, Dhuri, Patiala, Ambala, Kurukshetra, and Panipat before arriving at Old Delhi at 2.35 pm.
