Filmmaker Karan Johar took to social media to bid ‘alvida’ to Cannes 2025, wrapping up his visit with a heartfelt message and a collection of cherished memories.

Sharing glimpses from his time at the prestigious film festival, the filmmaker expressed gratitude and nostalgia, calling it an unforgettable experience packed with style, stories, and special moments. Taking to Instagram, Karan Johar shared a series of his stylish photos from his appearance at the star-studded festival and expressed that he is leaving Cannes with a treasure trove of memories, filled with love and gratitude.

The ace filmmaker and producer wrote, “Alvida Cannes… a truckload of memories … love in my heart and gratitude to the universe …. Am Homebound from #homebound and will post my sentiments on the movie and my long and lovely list of thank yous! Styled by @ekalakhani @sheldon.santos.” In the images, Karan is seen wearing a maroon-colored coat and pants paired with stylish sunglasses and shoes. He could be seen striking different poses for the camera.

Well known producer Anil Sunkara, who is one of the producers of 'Kalam', featuring actor Dhanush in the lead, has now penned an emotional note about the upcoming film, saying that the film will not be just a normal biopic of the People's President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam but that it will be "an epic with perfect drama, action, humour and emotion."

On Wednesday, an official announcement was made about the film. The makers said that the film would be directed by Om Raut, best known for having directed 'Adipurush', and that actor Dhanush would essay the role of Doctor Kalam, India's most loved president, in the film.

Soon after the announcement, Anil Sunkara, one of the producers of the film, took to his X timeline to pen an emotional post on the phenomenal effort the producers had to make to put the project together.

Actress and former “Bigg Boss 18” contestant Shilpa Shirodkar has “finally recovered” from Covid-19 and said that she is “feeling fine.”

Shilpa shared her health update and wrote: “Finally recovered, feeling fine, thank you each one of you for your love. Have a super blessed Thursday.”

It was on May 19, when the actress had announced that she tested positive for Covid-19, a contagious disease caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

Taking to Instagram, Shilpa shared: “Hello people! I have been tested positive for COVID. Stay safe and wear your mask!- Shilpa Shirodkar.” For the caption, she wrote, “Stay Safe.”

A rise in Covid-19 cases has been recorded across Asia. Several cases have been reported in Hong Kong and Singapore. According to the Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection, the virus is quite active.

National Award-winning star Rajkummar Rao says he chooses projects based on instinct, not success or value.

When asked how he chooses films—whether based on the value they add to his life or the value he brings to them—Rajkummar told : “It's not about the value it would add to me, because I go with my gut feeling. If I like a story—something that excites you—there's something about it… some kind of chemical reaction, a spark that happens inside when you hear a good story.”

Rajkummar, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film “Bhool Chuk Maaf”, says he picks films only when both the story and the maker feel right.

He added: “And if the maker is right for that story—because it's not enough for the story to be great if the maker isn't—then it's a no. But if the story is good and the maker is also good, then I say yes to it.”

Actress Diksha Dhami, who won hearts with her portrayal of Chaina, is back but this time in a completely different avatar, as she is set to play the bold character of Raseeli in the show Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain."

Talking about her character, Diksha said: “Raseeli is nothing like Chaina. She’s strong, fearless, and full of life. While Chaina was quiet and soft-spoken, Raseeli speaks her mind and takes control of every situation. Even her looks are very interesting. It’s been a refreshing change for me as an actor.”

Growing up in Dehradun, Diksha had to put in extra effort to master the thick UP accent required for Raseeli’s role.

“I watched videos, listened closely to locals, and practiced a lot to get the dialect right. Playing Raseeli pushed me far out of my comfort zone, but I enjoyed every moment of the challenge.”

Actor Ankit Siwach’s latest film, “Madam Driver”, has earned a special spot at the New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF), where it will be showcased alongside works by acclaimed talents such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Manoj Bajpayee and Neena Gupta.

Sharing his excitement, Ankit, who is currently seen in the series “Kull”, said: “I was overwhelmed, very happy. The director, Indrajeet sir, the entire team, and I are all very happy that Madam Driver is being screened at the New York Indian Film Festival.”

On the occasion of NTR Jr.'s 42nd birthday on Tuesday, the makers of “War 2” unveiled a fiery teaser of the upcoming film, featuring Hrithik Roshan and the South superstar as they go head-to-head, declaring “war” on each other.

The over one-minute video suggests that the second installment will feature action and drama on a higher scale than what audiences saw in War (2019), which showcased Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan blazing guns at each other.
