A lot of efforts are made by Kaithal Bijli Nigam to prevent electricity theft during summer season. Despite this, people are not allowed to steal. At the same time, the people of urban areas are not far behind in stealing electricity. Despite all the efforts of the corporation, 107 connections have been stolen in a month in the city. In this, Bijli Nigam has collected a fine of 21 lakh 19 thousand rupees in one month. This time the weather in the month of June is cool without being too hot. Yet people are not deterred from stealing.

Compared to the city, only 18 lakh fine was imposed in other divisions of the district
On the other hand, in Kaithal city alone, Bijli Nigam has caught theft and imposed a fine of 21.19 lakh rupees. At the same time, a fine of only 18.96 lakh rupees has been imposed in other sub-divisions of the district. According to the data of the corporation, theft has been caught in 101 connections in the month of May. A fine of 18.96 lakh rupees has been imposed for a load of 158 kilowatts.

There are more cases of theft from meter bypass
More cases of theft from meter bypass are coming up in the district since last three years. By the way, under the Mhara Gaon Jagam Gaon Yojana, all the houses have been shifted by installing poles in the connection street. Due to this reason, meter bypass has started to be done more by people.

A fine was collected from the corporation
North Haryana Bijli Nigam Executive Engineer Munish Kumar said that this time the cases of electricity theft have increased in the city. Under this, a total fine of 21.19 lakh rupees has been collected by the corporation in the month of May. Bijli Nigam will take continuous action against those who steal electricity. People are requested not to steal electricity and cooperate with the Corporation.
