Sri Fatehgarh Sahib/ 4 June (Ravinder Singh Dhindsa) : Fourty Four students of the Department of Education of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University cleared Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test 2023. Vice chancellor of the University, Dr. Pritpal Singh lauded the efforts of the students and said that the result is an exemplar of hard work and efforts. With 44 students clearing the PSTET examination, the Department has achieved a great milestone. He urged the Department to continue their efforts in nurturing the future teachers, keeping the societal needs and expectations in mind. He said that the University ensures to provide the best academic environment to its students, so that they are able to shape their future in the best way. Dr. Harneet Billing, In charge Department of Education shared that PSTET examination is conducted across the state as an eligibility examination for recruitment in State Education Department. The test has an exhaustive syllabi to test trained graduate on pedagogical and subject knowledge. She further shared that the curriculum of B.A.-B.Ed program at the department has been designed on PSTET line, making it easier for the students to prepare for the examination. She applauded that the dedication and sincerity of teachers and students towards their objective paid off. Dr. Sukhwinder Singh Billing, Dean Academic Affairs, expressed satisfaction and happiness over the marvellous performance of the students. Congratulating the department, he shared that the students of the department have always been active participants in the curricular and cocurricular activities of the University. Their academic feat is a source of inspiration for other students of the University.
