The Union Home Ministry asked the Punjab government to maintain law and order in the state

The Union Home Ministry has sent an advisory to the Punjab government asking it to maintain law and order in the state in view of the farmers' movement. This advisory has been issued by the farmers in view of the Delhi March. It has come to the attention of the Ministry that more than 14,000 people have gathered on the Punjab-Haryana border with 1,200 tractor-trolleys, 300 cars, 10 mini-buses and small vehicles. Therefore, he expressed concern about the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. The Home Ministry has asked the Punjab government to take strict action against the mischievous elements.
