Chandigarh, March 4
After the Mayor, the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh has also got a Senior Deputy Mayor today. Voting for Senior Deputy Mayor was held under the leadership of Mayor Kuldeep Kumar Tita on March 4, i.e. today, in which BJP candidate Kuljit Sandhu won by a margin of four votes. Kuljit Sandhu got 19 votes while the Congress-AAP alliance candidate got 16 votes. Due to misfolding of a ballot paper, the impression of the stamp was canceled due to falling somewhere else. It should be said that Congress and AAP have formed an alliance in the elections. Meanwhile, the post of mayor was given to AAP while the posts of senior deputy mayor and deputy mayor were given to Congress.
