An FIR has been filed against senior BJP leader Dilip Ghosh at Durgapur police station for his comments on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, an official said on Thursday.
Ghosh has been charged under sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to disturb the peace) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of woman) of the IPC, he claimed.
The official said the FIR was filed based on a complaint by a lawyer at the Durgapur court and another person.
