Chandigarh, April 2 :
The Gurugram team of the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested accused Rajender Singh in connection with corruption.
A case was registered against the accused on December 9, 2023, under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The ACB team later confirmed the incident and arrested the defendant on April 1, 2024.
According to the information received, the accused along with his accomplices in Gurugram used to collect money every month from the trucks and transfer it to the then motor vehicle officials.
Similarly, in another case, the ACB team of Gurugram division also arrested GST inspector Jitender Barwar for corruption. The accused is currently working at CGST office, Gurugram.
The defendant demanded a bribe from the complainant in exchange for allowing the government to continue its work. One defendant was arrested in this case.
