The Placebo Club of Desh Bhagat University Hosts Malaria Awareness Camp to Educate Local Community

The Placebo Club, under the Faculty of Pharmacy at Desh Bhagat University, organized a Malaria Awareness Camp at Village Saunti, aimed at educating the surrounding community on the causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of malaria. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and local residents.The camp was organized under the guidance of Dr. Puja Gulati, Principal, School of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University. The camp commenced with an informative session that detailed how malaria is transmitted through the bite of infected Anopheles mosquitoes. Speakers emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and timely medical intervention to manage the disease effectively.
The camp also offered free health check-ups and counseling sessions, ensuring that participants received immediate medical attention and advice. To make learning more engaging, the organizers conducted interactive activities, including quizzes and role-plays.The event concluded with a collective pledge by participants to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and take proactive steps in malaria prevention. This initiative not only raised critical awareness about malaria but also highlighted the commitment of Desh Bhagat University to public health and social responsibility.
