Education is not just a degree but a responsibility towards society: Dr. Zora Singh

A grand convocation ceremony was organized at the auditorium of Shri Mata Mansa Devi Charitable Trust, Panchkula under the aegis of the Gandhi Memorial Naturopathy Committee (New Delhi), Naturopathy Yoga Ayurveda Sciences Committee (Mohali), and Vardaan Naturopathy and Yoga Institute (Chandigarh).
Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, was the chief guest and conferred diploma/degrees on 122 students of Naturopathy and Yoga. Congratulating the students, Dr. Singh remarked, “Education is not just a degree but a means of fulfilling our responsibility towards society.” He emphasized that naturopathy is both an art and a science of living a healthy life, based on drug-free and principle-driven disease prevention methods. He added, “We should all learn and adopt naturopathy for a healthier life. The committee is doing commendable work, and we aim to connect this course with our university to offer students further academic recognition and opportunities.” Among the graduates, Dr. Rachna Singh was awarded a gold medal and special honors for securing the first position, while Deepak Khetrapal received a silver medal and recognition for standing second. Dr. Puneet Malik, who presided over the ceremony, delivered an inspirational address, urging the youth to contribute actively to the nation’s health and wished them a bright future. The keynote speaker, Dr. Harish Yadav, Director of Arogya Amrit Naturopathy Yoga Hospital and Training Institute, Hisar, delivered an insightful talk on ‘Healthy Lifestyle’. He said, “Naturopathy aligns a person with the creative principles of nature – physically, mentally, morally, and spiritually. It is uniquely effective in promoting health, preventing and treating disease, and rebuilding well-being. Food is considered medicine in naturopathy, and the diagnosis and treatment approach is holistic, addressing physical, mental, social, and spiritual aspects simultaneously.” On this occasion, six individuals who have made significant contributions to the fields of naturopathy and yoga were honored. These included Dr. Aditya Bhardwaj, Dr. Harichand Gupta, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Agarwal, Dr. Jasmeet Singh Bedi, Preeti Goyal, Dr. Suman Bala. Eminent personalities graced the occasion with their presence, including Dr. Santosh Garg, Sapna Sowat, Urmila Devi, Avtar Singh, Meena Kumari, Neelam Goyal, Pravesh Kumar, Shikha Thakur, Saloni, Brijesh Solanki, Balwinder Pal Singh, Amrita Singh Kaur, Diksha, Vicky, Rama, Kiran, Hemraj, Dr. Rachna Singh, Renu Tirkha, Satvir Singh, Vivek, Yogi Kishore Thakur, Deepak, Pradeep Kumar Agnihotri, Sanjeev Dilawari, Meena Kumari, Devraj Tyagi and many others.
