To honor the life and legacy of revered freedom fighter Lal Singh, Desh Bhagat University marked his death anniversary by launching an advanced Audiometer machine at Desh Bhagat Hospital. This initiative adds a significant enhancement to the hospital’s ENT Department, improving hearing care services for the community. Desh Bhagat Hospital, a state-of-the-art, 300-bedded facility and a leader in healthcare and diagnostic services in the region, proudly announces the inauguration of the new audiometer. This cutting-edge equipment is designed to improve the accuracy and efficiency of hearing assessments, thereby elevating the standard of medical care provided to patients. The audiometer was inaugurated by Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, and Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor, in remembrance of Dr. Singh’s father, Lal Singh, a distinguished freedom fighter. "We are thrilled to introduce the audiometer, which will significantly enhance the standard of hearing diagnostics we provide. Our commitment is to ensure every patient receives the most accurate and compassionate care possible," said Dr. Zora Singh. He further announced that hearing tests will be offered at highly subsidized rates, ensuring affordability and promoting early diagnosis of hearing loss and impairment among the masses.
Desh Bhagat Hospital’s ENT Department, led by renowned specialists Dr. B.S. Sohal and Dr. Raminder Kaur, is fully equipped to handle a wide range of ear, nose, and throat conditions. The specialists emphasized that the audiometer is a sophisticated diagnostic tool capable of evaluating hearing loss caused by aging, trauma, chronic illnesses like diabetes, and more.
"This technology represents a major upgrade to our diagnostic capabilities. It enables us to deliver quicker, more precise diagnoses and tailored treatment plans for patients with hearing concerns," the doctors added. ENT consultations are available Monday to Saturday at Desh Bhagat Hospital for all ear, nose, and throat-related conditions.
