Doctors’ Day celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at Desh Bhagat University by Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital. The day commemorates the birth and death anniversary of the legendary Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, a distinguished physician and the former Chief Minister of West Bengal and honors the tireless dedication, compassion, and expertise of doctors nationwide.
The event at Desh Bhagat University brought together faculty members, medical professionals, and dignitaries to recognize the invaluable contributions of doctors and reaffirm the institution’s unwavering commitment to compassionate healthcare.
Under the visionary leadership of Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, the celebration was marked by dignity and gratitude. Principal Dr. Vikram Bali and Vice Principal Dr. Tejveer Singh led the commemorative activities, which included a ceremonial cake-cutting and inspirational addresses focused on the holistic responsibilities of doctors - not only in delivering academic and medical excellence but also in upholding cultural and social values. Dr. Zora Singh said that at Desh Bhagat University, 'we are proud to nurture future generations of doctors who are as committed to human values as they are to scientific advancement.
