The Department of Business Management and Commerce, in collaboration with the Department of Performing Arts and Media, successfully concluded a five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) centered on “Research, Innovation and Academic Evolution: Navigating the ERA of Higher Education Post-NEP.” The FDP was inaugurated by Dr. Amarjit Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, who lauded the departments for their forward-thinking approach and emphasized the need for ongoing academic innovation and faculty up skilling. Throughout the week, eminent academicians and experts delivered impactful sessions on research methodologies, interdisciplinary pedagogy, and innovation-driven teaching practices. Speakers included Dr. L.S. Bedi (GNI, Canada), Dr. Ankdeep Attwal (SGGSWU), Dr. Navdeep Kaur (DBU), Dr. Gurvinder Singh (Chitkara University), Dr. Kanwaljit Kaur (DBU), Dr. Ripudaman Singh (Chitkara University), and Dr. Manpreet Kaur (DBU). The valedictory session featured a vote of thanks by Dr. Ajay Kaul, Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor and Director, DBMC, and Dr. Surjeet Patheja, Director, Faculty of Performing Arts and Media. Special recognition was given to the event coordinators—Dr. Baldeep Singh, Manmeet Singh, Sunny, Dr. Tavneet Kaur, and Prabhjeet Kaur for their exemplary efforts. The FDP was widely appreciated for its rich content and practical relevance, reinforcing the university’s commitment to academic excellence and continuous professional development in the post-NEP era.
