The concluding day of the orientation program for the 2025 batch of newly admitted students at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College (BBSBEC), Fatehgarh Sahib witnessed the gracious presence of renowned Punjabi film actor Hobby Dhaliwal as the chief guest. Hobby Dhaliwal shared inspiring stories and experiences from his life journey, highlighting the struggles and perseverance that led to his success in the film industry. He assured full support to students aspiring to join the film and entertainment sector and advised them to stay rooted in their culture and soil. He encouraged students to remain loyal to their motherland and Punjabi heritage, and to consider building their careers within their home state rather than seeking opportunities abroad. He also openly appreciated the unwavering support he received from his wife throughout his journey, emphasizing the importance of a strong family foundation in achieving one’s goals. Dr. Lakhvir Singh, Principal of BBSBEC, extended a warm welcome to the guest and expressed gratitude to the management trust for consistently supporting such meaningful events. He also addressed the students, stressing the importance of education that upholds high moral values and integrity. He noted that interactions with personalities like Dhaliwal offer valuable life lessons and broaden students’ perspectives.
