The Students of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, brought international recognition to Indian martial heritage by showcasing Gatka, the traditional Sikh martial art, at the International Folklore Festival held across multiple cities in Thailand. The event was organized by the Court Folklore Club, featuring twelve teams from around the globe, each presenting their unique cultural expressions.
Under the skilled guidance of Gatka Coach Talwinder Singh and Team Manager Lovveer Singh, the University’s Gatka team delivered a spellbinding performance that captivated the international audience. Representing India, Kanwaljeet Singh, Harpreet Singh, Balraj Karan Singh, and Sehaj Karan Singh demonstrated the spiritual and warrior ethos of Sikh martial traditions passed down through generations.
