In a major political development, dozens of prominent sarpanches and panchayats from various villages in Majitha constituency joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), giving a massive boost to the party's grassroots strength. The joining took place in the presence of AAP Punjab President Aman Arora, Ex-minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and senior leader Talbir Singh Gill, who warmly welcomed the new members into the AAP family.
Welcoming the sarpanches, Aman Arora said, “This wave of support from grassroots leaders proves that people have lost trust in traditional parties like the Akali Dal and Congress. They see hope in AAP’s honest politics and pro-people governance under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.”
Among the notable Congress sarpanches who joined AAP are, Gurjant Singh (former sarpanch Uddoke Khurd), Prem Singh Sony (former sarpanch Kathu Nangal), Sheetal Singh (Sarpanch Chachowali), Jobanjit Singh (Sarpanch Dudhala), Sawinder Singh Shinda (Sarpanch Chattiwind Lehal), Amandeep Singh (Sarpanch Kotla Khurd/Khushipur), Ravinderpal Singh (Sarpanch Hadaitpura) and Jaspal Singh (Sarpanch Bathu Chak).

Patalpuri Sarpanch Jaspal also left the BJP and joined AAP.

"This is your party, your platform, come lead with integrity, and the party will stand with you every step of the way," Arora affirmed, closing with a powerful note of solidarity and unity.
