Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib Organizes Webinar on “How to Become Corporate Lawyer”

 

The University School of Law, Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, organized a one-day webinar on “How to Become Corporate Lawyer” under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Pritpal Singh Ji and Prof. (Dr.) Amita Kaushal, Head and Dean, University School of Law. The session was attended with great enthusiasm by final-year students of BA LLB and LLB programmes. The resource person for the webinar was  Neelam, Corporate Professional and Co-Founder of The Legal Edge. She highlighted the growing opportunities in corporate law, the importance of professional networking, excelling in moot court competitions, CV building, and preparing for recruitment. She also familiarized students with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) such as trademarks, copyrights, and patents, and explained their role in providing companies a competitive edge. In his address, Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. (Dr.) Prit Pal Singh emphasized how globalization and complex business operations have raised the demand for corporate lawyers. Prof. (Dr.) Amita Kaushal further underlined the role of young corporate advocates in advising companies on mergers, acquisitions, compliance, and smooth business functioning. The event was coordinated by Dr. Mohleen Kaur, Ms. Prabhjot Kaur, and Amritpal Singh. The Convenor of the event Dr. Navneet Kaur delivered the vote of thanks.
