The University School of Law, Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, organized a special lecture on Land Laws by Advocate Kapil Dev Sharma, Retired Sadar Kanungo, District Collector Office, Patiala. Welcoming the resource person, Prof. (Dr.) Amita Kaushal, Head of the Department, highlighted the importance of land laws in contemporary society. Prof. (Dr.) Pritpal Singh, Vice Chancellor, also addressed the gathering, stressing the relevance of revenue laws for both academics and practice. Drawing on his wide administrative experience, Advocate Sharma explained the functioning of revenue courts, the concept of Jamabandi (record of rights), and key terminologies in revenue proceedings. Dr. Navneet Kaur, In-charge, Extra-curricular Activities, proposed a vote of thanks. The event, coordinated by Prabhjot Kaur and Noorkamal Kaur, witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty and students.
