Tarn Taran, October 29

In a major show of strength ahead of the Tarn Taran by-election, a large group of prominent local leaders, including several ex-servicemen and influential figures from Congress and Akali Dal, joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today and pledged their full support to AAP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu.

The joining ceremony was held in the presence of AAP Punjab Working President Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi, Chairman Harchand Singh Barsat, Chairman Dr. S.S. Ahluwalia, Gurdev Singh Lakhna, and Sur Singh, who warmly welcomed the new members into the AAP family.

Speaking on the occasion, Sherry Kalsi said, “The people of Tarn Taran have seen the difference between politics of self-interest and politics of service. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP is working honestly for the people, and this wave of new joinings shows the trust of the people in our governance and vision.”

The new members expressed confidence that only AAP represents true change and people-centric politics in Punjab. Their induction has significantly boosted AAP’s campaign momentum in Tarn Taran, signaling a major setback for both Congress and Akali Dal.
