The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab hailed the Centre’s decision to retract its anti-Punjab move regarding Panjab University as a historic victory for the people of Punjab and the united student community. AAP Punjab Working President Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi said that this triumph belongs to every student, every organization, and every citizen who stood up to protect the university’s distinct identity and democratic character.
Kalsi said, “This is not just a victory for Panjab University, it is a victory of Punjab’s pride, our constitutional rights, and the spirit of federalism. The BJP-led Centre tried to impose its will on Punjab, but our collective resistance forced them to bow before the people’s voice.”
