Among the headliners are Neeraj Chopra himself and 2016 Rio Olympic gold medallist Thomas Rohler, alongside a strong field of international competitors.

Mumbai mega scam: ED uncovers Rs 41 crore trail in VVMC illegal construction racket

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its probe into the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation (VVMC) land scam, conducting fresh search operations at 16 locations across Mumbai on July 1 under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.

The searches, linked to the case involving Jayesh Mehta and others, resulted in the freezing of assets worth approximately Rs 12.71 crore in bank accounts, fixed deposits, and mutual funds, along with the seizure of Rs 26 lakh in cash and a trove of incriminating documents and digital devices, a statement issued by the agency said on Thursday.

Gujarat: ED arrests accused in human trafficking case, Rs 7 crore under probe

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Ahmedabad Zonal Office, has arrested Bharatkumar Rambhai Patel, alias Bobby Patel, under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, in connection with a large-scale human trafficking racket.

Patel was produced before the Special PMLA Court in Mirzapur, Ahmedabad, which granted four days of ED custody for further interrogation.

The ED action follows an FIR registered by the Shola High Court Police Station in Ahmedabad, where Patel and others were accused of illegally sending Indian nationals abroad since 2015.

जम्मू-कश्मीर पुलिस की राज्य जांच एजेंसी (एसआईए) ने गुरुवार को गैर-स्थानीय हत्या मामले में अनंतनाग जिले में दो संदिग्धों के परिसरों की तलाशी ली।

एसआईए की ओर से जारी बयान में कहा गया है कि ये तलाशी 17 अप्रैल, 2024 को बिजबेहरा में राजा साह की नृशंस हत्या की चल रही जांच के तहत की गई।

इस तलाशी का उद्देश्य इस जघन्य अपराध के पीछे की साजिश को उजागर करने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण सबूतों को उजागर करना और पुलिस स्टेशन बिजबेहरा में आईपीसी की धारा 302, 7/27 आर्म्स एक्ट और गैरकानूनी गतिविधि (रोकथाम) अधिनियम की धारा 13, 16 और 20 के तहत दर्ज मामले में शामिल सहयोगियों की पहचान करना था।

J&K SIA raids two places in connection with non-local killing case

State Investigation Agency (SIA) of J&K Police on Thursday carried out searches at the premises of two suspects in Anantnag district in connection with the non-local killing case.

A statement by SIA said that these searches were carried out as part of an ongoing investigation into the brutal killing of Raja Sah on April 17, 2024, in Bijbehara.

The searches aimed to uncover critical evidence to unravel the conspiracy behind this heinous crime and identify accomplices involved in the case registered under FIR No. 87/2024 under Section 302 IPC, 7/27 Arms Act, and 13, 16, and 20 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act of Police Station Bijbehara.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that Chief Secretary KAP Sinha conducted the proceedings of the ceremony with the permission of the Governor. After being sworn in Sanjeev Arora signed the oath, which was counter signed by the Governor.
