Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday said to preserve the heritage of the gurus and to disseminate their life philosophies and ideals among the masses, the work of the Sikh Museum and the Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Museum, both in Kurukshetra, must be completed within the stipulated timeframe.

He said that this would enable future generations to draw inspiration from the gurus and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

He made these remarks while chairing a meeting here to review the progress of the Sikh Museum and Guru Ravidas Museum.

A major security scare unfolded at Patna Airport on Wednesday afternoon after a bomb threat message was received targeting Indigo flight 6E921 en route from Ahmedabad to Patna.

The incident triggered a high alert, leading to an emergency landing and a comprehensive security sweep of the aircraft.

The alert was raised at 12:45 PM when Indigo station manager Shalini received a threatening message via WhatsApp.

She promptly alerted Air Traffic Control (ATC), and within just eight minutes, the flight landed safely at 12:53 PM on the runway.

Following the emergency landing, CISF, Bihar Police, airport authorities, and intelligence agencies swiftly mobilised.

Laos authorities are urging all sectors and the public to remain vigilant in preventing the spread of dengue, particularly during the rainy season, when flooding creates ideal breeding grounds for mosquitoes and raises the risk of infection.

The number of dengue fever cases in Laos has reached 1,370, with no deaths reported so far this year, according to a report issued by the Lao Ministry of Health on Wednesday.

The highest number of cases occurred in Lao capital Vientiane, where 456 cases were reported, followed by Luang Namtha province with 159 cases, and Sekong province with 153 cases.

The health ministry also urged people to remain vigilant and help control the spread of the mosquito-borne viral disease, news agency reported.

More than seven in 10 (73 per cent) of professionals in India are confident about retaining their jobs this year, an 11-percentage point increase from the previous year, a report said on Wednesday.

About 31 per cent of professionals in tier 1 cities feel ‘extremely confident’ about job retention, compared to 18 per cent in tier 2 cities.

Additionally, 85 per cent of professionals in companies with over 5,000 employees express confidence in job retention, while the figure drops to 58 per cent among those in companies with fewer than 50 employees, said the report by Great Learning, a leading global edtech company.

Local steelmakers, including POSCO Group and Hyundai Steel Co., have been seeking ways to cope with the "U.S. steel barrier," or at least minimize the impact of the steep tariffs on their operations.

Haryana nominates 621 panchayats for Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan

With Haryana nominating 621 gram panchayats for the Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the progress of the program launched by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development.

This initiative aims to improve nutrition and community development in rural areas as well as to promote a healthy competition among village panchayats to eliminate malnutrition and form the basis of a developed India.

The Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan is aligned with Sustainable Development Goals II and III and promotes improved nutritional outcomes through better infrastructure and third-party assessments.

Haryana has nominated 621 gram panchayats under the program, out of which 531 have met the eligibility criteria to be designated as Suposhit Gram Panchayats, an official statement said.
