Calling it a moment of national pride, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday participated in Tiranga Shaurya Samman Yatra organised by the BJP on Kartavya Path in central Delhi and warned terror masterminds that their future misadventures will evoke a befitting response under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

CM Gupta said the decisions taken by PM Modi for the protection of the country are a matter of pride.

Aam Aadmi Party leader and MP Malvinder Singh Kang raised questions about Akali Dal leader Bikram Majithia's statement on the main accused in the tragic death of 14 people in Majitha due to spurious liquor and accused him of doing politics over the issue.

Kang questioned how Bikram Majithia could claim with certainty whether the accused arrested by Punjab Police are genuine or not. He said the confidence with which Majithia is making such claims suggests either he has close ties with the culprits or he is blatantly lying.

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday voiced the Congress party’s concerns over the sudden understanding on ceasefire announced during Operation Sindoor and described US President Donald Trump’s suggestion to help on Kashmir as ‘dangerous’.

The Congress stalwart questioned the government on why it was allowing Donald Trump to come into the picture.

Addressing the media here, Gehlot said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of External Affairs should elaborate on the role that Trump claimed he played in achieving an understanding on a ceasefire between India and Pakistan.

“I have this complaint against PM Modi that he has not spoken about Trump’s tweets,” he said, referring to the US President's offer to help on Kashmir.

“The Simla Agreement said that no third nation would come into the picture, but Trump has entered the scene. We don’t know if Trump is in the frame with the consent of the Indian government or not,” he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to the nation on Monday drew widespread praise from BJP leaders and NDA allies, who said his speech sent a clear and firm message to both the global community and India's adversaries.

The address, which came in the wake of 'Operation Sindoor' and the ceasefire understanding with Pakistan, underscored India's uncompromising stance on terrorism and reiterated that any dialogue with Pakistan would be restricted to issues concerning terrorism and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK).

In his remarks, PM Modi firmly stated that "Nuclear blackmail" will not deter India from taking resolute action against terrorism anywhere in the world.

Outlining a three-pronged "new normal" in India's anti-terror doctrine, the Prime Minister said India is committed to tracking and eliminating terror threats globally, and that state-backed terror operatives will be treated at par with their masterminds.

Telangana has attracted nearly Rs 3 lakh crore investment, creating one lakh jobs in the private sector since December 2023, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said on Monday.

He claimed that Telangana is the number one state in the country in attracting investments -- both domestic and international.

The Chief Minister was speaking at the inauguration of a company’s new facility at Nanakramguda in Hyderabad.

He said at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Telangana attracted investments of Rs 1.78 lakh crore. “During my trips to the World Economic Forum in Davos, and investor meets in the USA, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore, we have convinced the world that Telangana means business,” he said.

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday expressed deep concern over two recent tiger attacks in Ranthambore, Sawai Madhopur, which claimed the lives of a forest ranger and a child.

In a post on social media, Gehlot said, "The unfortunate death of Ranger Shri Devendra Chaudhary in a tiger attack at Ranthambore is both tragic and deeply concerning. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time."

He further stated, "This incident raises serious safety concerns, especially in light of a similar tragedy on April 16, when a child lost his life in another tiger attack. I strongly urge the state government to take immediate and serious action. A thorough discussion with forest officials and wildlife experts is essential to ensure better safety measures for both frontline staff and the general public."

Welcoming the recent understanding reached between India and Pakistan, Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit emphasized that while the development is encouraging, it must pave the way for a long-term solution. He added that India's strength and capabilities were clearly demonstrated when the armed forces responded with decisive force.

He said that India's strong response has sent a clear message to Pakistan, but whether Islamabad has truly learned a lesson remains to be seen.

Dikshit said, “One thing that came out well in this whole ceasefire is that India’s power was demonstrated,” highlighting India's superior defence capabilities and strategic response. “This has also been proven that if Pakistan does anything in the future, whether it's missiles, drones, aircraft, or air superiority, our ability to hit the target is far greater.”

Member of Parliament Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday paid heartfelt tributes to the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the cross-border firing and during counter-terror operations against Pakistan.

Expressing grief, she said the entire nation stands united in mourning the loss of these courageous men who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

“The martyrdom of our brave soldiers during the Indian Army’s action against terrorists and the confrontation with Pakistani forces is deeply saddening,” Priyanka Gandhi said in a post on X.

“Subedar Pawan Kumar ji, Sepoy M Murali Naik ji, Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar ji, BSF Sub-Inspector Mohammad Imtiaz ji, Sergeant Surendra Kumar Moga, Rifleman Sunil Kumar, and Rajouri Police Officer Raj Kumar Thapa ji -- all laid down their lives for the safety and sovereignty of our nation,” she added.

The Andhra Pradesh government has granted property tax exemption to houses owned by Indian Defence personnel within the gram panchayat limits in the state.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan made an announcement to this effect through a post on ‘X’ on Sunday night.

The Jana Sena leader stated that the NDA government under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has taken a decision as a mark of deep respect and gratitude to brave soldiers.

“The Panchayat Raj Department has taken a significant decision, to grant property tax exemption to houses belonging to personnel of the Indian Defence Forces within Gram Panchayat limits. This decision honours the unwavering courage of our defence forces Army, Navy, and Air Force, Paramilitary, CRPF personnel who dedicate their lives for the security of our nation,” stated Pawan Kalyan.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday assessed the preparedness of hospitals, the fire department and other government agencies to deal with an emergency in the backdrop of the ongoing ‘Operation Sindoor’.

Addressing the high-level review meeting, CM Gupta instructed officials to ensure availability of ambulances and adequate storage of medicines and materials.

She also issued instructions to ensure power backup in Intensive Care Units and to cancel the leave of medical and paramedical staff and prepare duty rosters.

Officials of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) were directed to identify shelters and sensitise Civil Defence Volunteers (CDVs) for emergency deployment and coordination with the armed forces, Indian Railways and airport authorities.

In a post on social media platform X, CM Gupta said, “The Power Department was directed to be prepared in case of power outage and ensure backup power supply for essential services. The Home and Police departments were ordered to maintain operational readiness and security for uninterrupted supply of water and electricity.”
