This is causing Punjab to lose hundreds of crores in revenue, and industries are also leaving the state – Meet Hayer

Farmers’ Demands are with the Centre; Their Struggle Shouldn’t Harm Punjab’s Economy: Minister Cheema

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema reiterated the party’s unwavering support for farmers while urging them to avoid actions that harm Punjab’s trade and industrial sectors. Addressing the disruptions caused by highway closures, Cheema emphasized that the ongoing struggle against the central government’s policies must not come at the cost of Punjab’s economic lifelines.

“During the protest against the three black farm laws imposed by the BJP-led central government, AAP stood firmly with the farmers. Punjab's people and our government supported the farmers wholeheartedly during that time. Today, the farmers’ demands are still directed at the central government, and their fight must continue at that level. Blocking Punjab's borders like Shambhu and Khanauri is causing severe damage to the state’s economy and trade,” said Cheema.

Meet Hayer puts forward important demands of Punjab related to water resources in Lok Sabha

Participating in the ongoing debate on demands related to water resources during the budget session of Parliament, Aam Aadmi Party Lok Sabha member from Sangrur Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer put forward important demands of Punjab. Despite being a riparian state, Punjab did not get its due share of water and after the reorganisation of the state of Punjab, Punjab did not get its due share from the Yamuna River.

Meet Hayer said that drinking water is getting polluted. He said that the entire Malwa region is struggling with clean drinking water and is suffering from cancer. The country's food banks were filled with the Green Revolution, but Punjab had to bear a huge loss. Punjab has completed the Jal Jeevan Mission of supplying water through taps, but the Malwa region needs a supply of canal water for drinking from the Bhakra Canal.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab is set to take a revolutionary step to combat the growing menace of drug trafficking from across the international border. Addressing the media in Ludhiana today, AAP Punjab President Aman Arora announced that the Punjab government will soon acquire state-of-the-art anti-drone technology, making Punjab the first state in the country to adopt this advanced measure against cross-border smuggling of drugs and weapons.

"Despite relentless efforts over the past three years, over 90% of drugs entering Punjab still originate from Pakistan through drones. While securing the international border is the responsibility of the BSF and the central government, their failure has necessitated this critical step by Punjab. The new technology will identify, track, and neutralize drones within a range of 10 kilometers, ensuring that such activities are effectively curbed," said Aman Arora. Some Trials for the anti-drone system have already been conducted and one will be conducted at the Tarn Taran border, with key state officials, including Cabinet Ministers Harpal Singh Cheema and Aman Arora actively participating in the evaluation process.

AAP’s Mann Government Delivers Results While Congress Spreads Propaganda, says Garg

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab leader Neel Garg strongly criticized Punjab Congress leaders for holding crucial meetings in Delhi under the supervision of Bhupesh Baghel, Chhattisgarh's former Chief Minister. AAP senior spokesperson Neel Garg questioned the Congress leaders' frequent jibes at AAP, accusing it of being Delhi-centric, while they themselves rely on Delhi for decision-making and leadership guidance.

"Congress leadership often targets AAP, claiming our governance is directed from Delhi. But today, I want to ask Leader of Opposition Pratap Bajwa and Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring—why is your crucial meeting taking place in Delhi? Is Bhupesh Baghel, your in-charge, from Punjab? Does he even understand Punjab’s ground realities? The Congress must answer why Rahul Gandhi or any senior leader couldn’t hold this meeting in Punjab. Clearly, their focus is far removed from Punjab's issues," said Neel Garg.
