After a potentially damaging fall in the early stages of his fourth-round clash at Wimbledon against Grigor Dimitrov, world no. 1 Jannik Sinner is planning to get an MRI to further analyse the injury.

Sinner, however, reached the fourth round at Wimbledon after Dimitrov was forced to retire due to injury when leading 6-3, 7-5, 2-2.

In the very first game of the fourth-round matchup, Sinner appeared en route to a shock defeat, having jarred his elbow during an innocuous-looking slide to the ground. He later received a medical timeout for treatment on his elbow. Having recently split with his physiotherapist and trainer, he will work with the ATP Tour's physios on his elbow.

Edgbaston win shows India are not afraid of 'Bazball': Monty Panesar

Former England spinner Monty Panesar feels that Test win in Edgbaston shows that India are not afraid of England's 'Bazball' approach, and the famous victory will give the visitors a lot of confidence heading into the third Test at Lord's.

India beat England by 336 runs to get their first-ever Test match win at Edgbaston on Sunday. The statement victory has also meant that India have levelled the five-match Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series at 1-1. This win at Birmingham is also India’s biggest away Test win in terms of runs.

"India will gain a lot of confidence from this. It shows they're not afraid of England’s Bazball approach. There's a great deal of excitement and belief in the team. Shubman Gill has shown exceptional leadership; also, he has batted really well," Panesar told.

Jamie Smith and Harry Brook continued making a truckload of runs to keep the rattled and listless Indian bowlers at bay and take England beyond the 350-mark on Day Three of the second Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series at Edgbaston here on Friday.

England reached 355/5 in 75 overs at tea and now trail India by 232 runs, with Smith and Brook unbeaten on 157 and 140 respectively. There was no stopping the pair in the second session as their unbroken thrilling sixth-wicket stand is now at 271 runs off 323 deliveries, even as Brook got his ninth Test hundred off 137 balls.

The second session began with Brook dabbing in the gap between gully and second slip off Prasidh Krishna to get his 13th boundary and his hundred. He celebrated it by looking up to the sky, as a gesture of remembering his grandmother, Pauline, who passed away in March 2024.
