Chandigarh, 4 Dec:
According to Chandigarh police, the victim is Mukul Patil, a BA student, who was attacked by Ankur (alias Pala) of Sector 24 and Sandeep (alias Kaku).
An 18-year-old youth from Sector 25, who was fighting for his life after being stabbed by two men since Wednesday, succumbed to his injuries at GMSH in Sector 16 on Saturday evening.
According to police, the victim, BA student Mukul Patil, was attacked by Ankur (alias Pala) of Sector 24 and Sandeep (alias Kaku). They have already been caught. He was initially charged with attempted murder, but after Mukul's death, he has now been charged with murder. If proven, the penalty could be the death penalty or life imprisonment in addition to a fine.
After joining GMSH, Patil had told the police that on November 24, he had gotten into an argument with Ankur and Sandeep due to their old rivalry. It was then that they left, threatening dire consequences.
Five days later, on Wednesday, he was standing in an alley near his home when the duo attacked him. When Sandeep stabbed Ankur in the stomach before running away, Ankur held him back.
