Haryana: ED raids the premises of Congress MLA Surendra Panwar, raids in cases related to illegal mining.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team has raided the residence and other places of Congress MLA Surendra Panwar from Sonipat. The matter is said to be related to mining. The ED team has also reached the residence of Suresh, an associate of MLA Surendra Panwar. In this case, ED has also raided the house of the MLA's partner, former INLD MLA.

Different teams of ED reached Sonipat on Thursday morning and started investigation at MLA Surendra Panwar's residence in Sector-15 and other places. The team also examined documents related to mining and other matters.

Congress MLA Surendra Panwar has mining business in Haryana and Rajasthan. In this case, a complaint of irregularities had reached the ED, in which the ED has now started investigation. MLA Surendra Panwar is also present at his residence. Central Security Force personnel have been deployed on the spot during the raid.

According to sources, 20 locations of both the politicians and related organizations are being searched in Yamunanagar, Sonipat, Mohali, Faridabad, Chandigarh and Karnal under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

ED team raided BJP leader's house in Sector 13 of Karnal. According to the information, investigation is being done regarding disproportionate assets. The team has been investigating inside the house for about three hours.
