ED takes major action in illegal mining case in Haryana, former MLA Dilbag Singh and his associates arrested

ED in Haryana has arrested former MLA Dilbag Singh and his associate Kulwinder Singh in a money laundering case related to alleged illegal mining. Officials gave this information on Monday. Officials said that now he will be produced in the court on charges of possessing illegal weapons and illegal mining in the state.

According to officials, during the ED search at the house of Dilbag Singh and his associates, illegal foreign weapons, 300 cartoons, more than 100 liquor bottles and Rs 5 crore in cash, 4/5 kg bullion have been recovered. Apart from this, many documents related to illegal mining including number of properties in India and abroad have been seized. ED searches lasted for 5 days at 20 places in Haryana in the case of illegal mining and possession of illegal weapons by former MLA Dilbag Singh and MLA Surendra Panwar. It is noteworthy that ED is investigating the money laundering case against Dilbagh Singh. ED had raided many places in the money laundering case related to illegal mining.

Dilbag Singh is the leader of INLD.
Dilbagh Singh is the leader of Indian National Lok Dal. He was MLA from Yamunanagar between 2009-14. Dilbagh Singh had to face defeat in the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections. He was one of the richest candidates of Haryana in the elections. Dilbagh Singh had declared his assets worth Rs 34 crore. Dilbagh Singh is a 1994 graduate from Kurukshetra University. He has a transport and mining business. Dilbagh Singh is also a close friend of INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala. About 4 years ago, Dilbag Singh's daughter was married to Abhay Singh Chautala's son Arjun Chautala.
