Holidays increased from first to fifth class in Haryana

Due to the severe cold in Haryana, the government has extended the holidays of classes 1st to 5th. Now children will have holidays till 27th January. Education Minister Kanwarpal Gurjar gave this information.

Schools opened in Haryana on Tuesday after a 22-day holiday. But due to the outbreak of cold, the government announced extension of holidays. From Tuesday the opening time of government schools was 9:30 am. Many private schools of the state open at 10 am. The opening time of schools before winter vacation was 9:00 am.

The Education Department had declared winter vacation from January 1 to 15. In view of the falling minimum temperature amidst dense fog and cold wave, the period of winter vacation for students of classes 1 to 3 was extended till January 20. Sunday, January 21 and January 22 were declared holidays in the Shri Ram temple of Ayodhya due to the consecration of the idol. Schools opened on Tuesday but due to winter the schools will now open on January 29.
