The weather pattern has changed in Haryana. Due to western disturbance, rain and hail fell in many districts of the state. Hail and rain have cleared the air in the state. The air of Karnal and Ambala of Haryana was the cleanest. Karnal's air quality index (AQI) reached 48 while Ambala's reached 49. Apart from these, AQI remained below 100 in 11 districts.
Weather will remain changed till 5th February
Due to clear weather, a drop in night temperature was recorded. Due to rain there was dense fog on Friday morning. Due to fog, visibility remained at five meters.
From Saturday, the winds of the new western disturbance coming from Afghanistan and Pakistan will move towards the hills causing rain in the plains of North India (Rain in Haryana). Due to this western disturbance, the weather will remain changed till February 5.
Rain alert in nine districts of Haryana
According to the Meteorological Department, rain alert has been issued in many districts of Haryana. Yellow alert for rain has been issued in 9 districts of the state. Which includes Mahendragarh, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in entire Haryana tomorrow.
People got relief due to sunshine
With the change in weather, it rained late on Wednesday night. After that, there was fog from Thursday night itself which continued till Friday morning. Sunshine in the afternoon brought relief from fog and cold. Drivers faced problems due to dense fog.
Night temperature drops when the weather clears
Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Haryana Agricultural University, said that when the weather is clear, there is a drop in the night temperature and a rise in the maximum temperature. But when there is cloud cover, the maximum temperature decreases as the night temperature rises.
Now, there will be a rise in night temperature when western disturbance becomes active again from February 3. After February 6, when the weather clears, the temperature may drop again and it may become cold.
Winds coming from Afghanistan and Pakistan will cause rain
After the Western Disturbance becomes active from the Mediterranean Sea, winds from Afghanistan and Pakistan will cause rain in the plains of North India. Later it will move towards the mountains which may cause snowfall and rain there. According to meteorologists, all western disturbances that come are active from the Mediterranean Sea only.
