A massive fire broke out in a textile factory located at village Alipura Road in Gharaunda area at 6 am on Tuesday. The workers informed the owner about the fire. The owner reached the spot and informed the fire department. Seven fire tenders from three centers reached the spot.
Everyone tried their best to control the fire, but due to the fire in the factory, thread, clothes clippings and chemicals could not be controlled even till ten o'clock. There was an atmosphere of chaos at the spot after the fire.
Ravesh Garg told that there is a thread factory in the name of Krishna Textile on his village Alipura Road. In this, thread is made from clippings of clothes. According to him, the factory is in about one acre. Only the office is permanent, the rest of the factory has an iron shed.
At six o'clock on Tuesday morning a call came from a worker that there was a fire in the factory. He reached the factory within some time. By then the fire had taken a huge form. He immediately informed the fire department. Seven fire brigade vehicles from Karnal, Gharaunda and Panipat reached the spot and tried to control the fire. From 6 am to 10 am, seven vehicles had made more than 60 rounds, but the fire could not be controlled. The exact cause of the fire could not be found.
After the fire in chemicals and clothes, it took a terrible form.
There is mostly stock of cloth clippings in the factory. Apart from this, there was also a large quantity of finished thread. Chemicals are used in dyeing threads. Many drums of chemicals were also kept. When the fire reached all of them, it took a terrible form. Due to which even water shower had no effect on the fire.
No one was present in the factory at the time of the fire
About 40 workers work in the factory. The factory remains closed at night. It was fortunate that no one was in the factory at the time of the fire. All the workers were in their respective rooms outside the factory.
High voltage line passing over the factory
The factory owner told that a high voltage electric line is passing over the factory. They suspect that the fire may have occurred due to the power line. However, the exact cause of the fire has not been known yet. The factory owner has also alleged that the fire brigade arrived an hour after giving the information.
