February 15, 2024

Bahadurgarh, 15 Feb:

Due to the farmers' movement, the borders have been sealed and the roads have been closed. Due to this, the delivery of finished goods in seven thousand small and big factories of the area has stopped. The goods have been loaded in the factory, but the vehicles are not able to go towards Delhi. Goods worth Rs 600 crore have been lying in the factory in two days.

Orders are getting canceled due to non-delivery of goods on time. Even further new orders for goods are not being received. Entrepreneurs say that if the roads are not opened soon, the industries here will collapse. Bahadurgarh has not one but many industrial areas. Among these, modern industrial areas Part-A and B are between Sector-9 More and Tikri Border.

There are seven thousand factories in HSIIDC Sector-16, 17, Old Industrial Area, Rohad Nagar Industrial Area, Nizampur Road, Jhajjar Road and other places. After the sealing of Delhi border, the roads are closed and the finished goods are lying in the factory, but they are not being sent. The vehicle has been loaded with goods and is parked in the factory. The goods have to go to many places like Delhi, Jaipur etc.

90 percent of the people running factories in Bahadurgarh commute from Delhi. Now after the border has been sealed, there is a lot of difficulty in commuting to Bahadurgarh. Now we are coming by metro, but the crowd in the metro has increased. There is more crowd in the morning and evening. Due to this, one has to either leave Bahadurgarh early or leave from here late at night.

Orders for goods to be sent from Bahadurgarh to different states as well as to Delhi have been cancelled. Now traders are placing orders for the goods towards the footwear industry located in Jaipur. If Delhi borders do not open soon, Bahadurgarh industry may suffer a loss of several hundred crores of rupees. The government should soon find a solution to the farmers' issue.-Narinder Chhikara, Deputy President, BCCI

Plywood goods worth Rs 300 crore stuck due to farmer movement
Due to the farmers' movement, all the borders of Delhi are sealed. During this time, trucks, trolleys and other goods carrying vehicles going to Delhi are stuck in the middle. This is also affecting the plywood industry of the district. Due to closure of roads to Delhi, goods made on orders from many states are not being supplied. For about four days, goods worth crores have been lying either in warehouses and transport or in vehicles stuck on the road.
