Rajokri border between Gurugram and Delhi is open, traffic running smoothly

February 22, 2024

Gurugram, 22 Feb:

Traffic remained smooth on Thursday at Rajokri border between Gurugram and Delhi. No barricading was done here on Thursday. Earlier on Wednesday, in view of the farmers' march to Delhi, the service lane of Rajokri border was closed in the morning and traffic was running only in one lane on the main road.

Due to this, drivers struggled with the traffic jam for four hours. Due to this, there was jam till Sector 31 at 11 am. In view of the increasing traffic pressure, after talks with Gurugram Police, Delhi Police relaxed its strictness and opened the service lane. To stop the farmers, trucks filled with sand have been kept at the border.

Gurugram Police is also keeping an eye on the activities of the farmers. Policemen are deployed at Kapriwas, Manesar Valley, Pachgaon and other places. Concrete barricades have also been placed on the roadside here.

Police say that if information is received about the arrival of farmers, they will stop them by placing barricades on the road. On Tuesday, farmers protested in Manesar and called for march to Delhi on foot. After this, the police took everyone into custody and released them in the evening. Farmers are now busy making a new strategy.
