Big blow to Chandigarh BJP! Two councilors Poonam and Neha, who joined BJP, returned home to Aam Aadmi Party

Neha Musabat is councillor from ward number-19 and Poonam Kumari is from ward number-16

Now India Alliance has a total of 19 councillors in Chandigarh, the number required for majority in the Municipal Corporation is also 19

Chandigarh, March 9 (Agency) :  The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councillors Poonam and Neha, who had joined BJP just before the Supreme Court's decision on Chandigarh Mayor elections, have returned home and joined AAP again.

On Saturday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's OSD Rajbir Singh Ghumman and Aam Aadmi Party Chandigarh co-incharge Dr Sunny Singh Ahluwalia made councillors' homecoming possible and formally inducted both the councilors into the party again.

Neha Musabat is councilor from ward number 19 and Poonam Kumari is councilor from ward number 16. Both of them became councillors by winning the 2021 Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections on the Aam Aadmi Party ticket.

After joining the party, Councillor Neha Musabat said that while living together, discord occurs at home too. Same thing happened here also. But now we decided to forget all the old things and return home. Councillor Poonam said that now she has no problem and she is very happy to return home to the party.

After the return of both the councillors, the number of Aam Aadmi Party councillors in Chandigarh has now increased to 12. Congress has 7 councilors. Together the two parties, India Alliance now has 19 councilors and the required number for majority in Chandigarh Municipal Corporation is also 19.
