Challenging Majithia to prove these allegations, he said that if found guilty, I will retire from politics, but if Majithia is proved to be a liar, then he should leave politics
Chandigarh, March 19 (Agency) : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal, reacting to the allegations levelled against him by the Bikram Majithia earlier today, said that all these allegations are false and baseless and are only fabricated the Shiromani Akali Dal leader to mislead the people.
In a statement released from the Chandigarh party office, Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that he's the one who has always been raising the issue of falling roofs of the poor people. He even got funds of 4 crore 96 lakhs released for the pacca houses of 4600 people. Only 70-80 lakhs were distributed then the government was changed and the funds were returned.
He said that these is no corruption or financial scam here. Vigilance Bureau and the BDPO office has done their inquiries and they found nothing wrong. No scam or misplaced funds were detected. He further added that the VB filed this inquiry 5 months ago when there wasn't even any talk of him joining the AAP.
Dr Chabbewal said that people like Bikram Majithia, who are responsible for the plight of Punjab and Punjab's youth, are levelling these baseless allegations, it is almost comical.
He challenged Bikram Majithia to prove these allegations. He said that if he was found guilty of even taking one rupee out of the money of poor people then he'll retire from the politics. But if Majithia proved to be a liar then he should give up politics for good.
