School of Hotel Management & Tourism at Desh Bhagat University in collaboration with the Institute’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Training & Placement Cell organized an industrial visit to Holiday Inn Hotel, Zirakpur for students. The objective of the visit was to enrich the knowledge of the students and make them aware of recent trends in the hotel industry. Taking advantage of this the hotel management students enthusiastically participated. The visit started with a session by the Learning and Development Manager Varun Sharma explaining the history of the hotel group and the different facilities available on the hotel property. The students visited different departments of the hotel including restaurants, kitchens, guestrooms, bar, front desk, etc. The heads of the departments briefed the students about the functioning of their respective sections and the emerging trends. The students were greatly benefitted by the visit. The visit was coordinated by Chef Rinku Singh.
