Chandigarh, April 26 (Agency) : Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested 11 members of the big gang with the help of central agencies. The police are considering it a big success. Anti-Gangster Task Force of Punjab has arrested 11 members of Charanjit Singh alias Raju Shooter Gang.

Sharing this information on his X account, DGP Gaurav Yadav said that in September 2023, this gang was involved in an unsuccessful attempt to rob a bank in Dhotiyan village of Tarn Taran, in which one of the accused was shot dead. The police officer was seriously injured. Similarly, last week on 16 April 2024, Raju Shooter's associates conspired to evict him from Civil Hospital Tarantaran, where he was admitted for treatment.
The arrested accused were involved in organized criminal activities like attempted murder, robbery, drug trafficking. The DGP said that the search for their remaining members is on.
