Chandigarh, April 1 : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launching a verbal attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said that there is no liquor scam, this entire false script that was written by Enforcement Directorate on the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been exposed once again, as ED failed to produce any evidence in the court today.
Addressing a press conference, on Monday, AAP Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said that AAP's National Supremo and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is sent to jail for judicial custody today. The most interesting thing is that despite 11 days of ED remand, ED is still saying the same statements that they said after they arrested Vijay Nair. There is not a single new evidence, as we have been saying from the first day that this is a script created by BJP with one motive that is to keep Arvind Kejriwal out of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Kang said that there is no new evidence or witness against Arvind Kejriwal. After 11 days of remand, today Kejriwal was again sent to judicial custody for 14 days, which makes their motive very clear. The statement, on the basis of which remand was given, was recorded one and a half years ago by the ED itself only. It is clearly a conspiracy of the BJP to keep Arvind Kejriwal out of the Lok Sabha elections.
Kang said that 11 days ago, Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by ED in a fabricated case, which was registered one and a half years ago. There was mention of the South Lobby, and it was said that there was a liquor scam and commission was demanded from the south lobby. The truth of so-called South Lobby, on the basis of which BJP is continuously registering false cases against Arvind Kejriwal and keeping him away from the elections, is that first there is Goa's Sarath Chand Reddy, he is the son of a businessman of a South firm worth Rs 25000 crore, he is not an ordinary man, he was arrested by ED in November 2022 in a money laundering case. Sarath Chandra Reddy was made a witness against Arvind Kejriwal and 10 days after his arrest, BJP took an election fund of 55 crores from this Sarath Chandra Reddy through electoral bonds. All of this is on record.
Kang further said that as per the direction of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, electoral bond data is made public. Then it came to light that Sarath Chandra Reddy, who was made a witness against Arvind Kejriwal, gave Rs. 55 crore election fund to the BJP within 10 days after his testimony and arrest in November 2022. His statement was taken about 6 times in April 2023 and he didn't mention Arvind Kejriwal in any of these statements and he also said that he has nothing to do with Arvind Kejriwal.
Kang added that in May 2023, his bail was rejected by the High Court. A person who is the owner of 25000 crores and has to stay in jail for 6 months and has already given Rs 55 crore election fund to BJP and still he does not get bail, then something must be wrong here. After about 8 months, Sarath Chandra Reddy gives a false statement against Arvind Kejriwal. BJP takes 55 crores from Sarath Chandra Reddy who was made a witness against Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged liquor scam and 5 crores separately, and then he gets bail.
Kang said that the second person they made the main witness against Arvind Kejriwal is Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy (MSR). He is also a very big businessman from the South. In 2021, a money laundering case was registered against him. He is a four-time Member of Parliament. His son Raghava Reddy was also made a witness against Arvind Kejriwal. This person agrees to give a statement against Arvind Kejriwal in front of ED, and a few days later MSR gets a Lok Sabha ticket by NDA. This means that Sarath Chandra Reddy and MSR, both have been rewarded by the Modi government to get their statement registered against Arvind Kejriwal with ED. The conversation among our leaders Atishi, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Vijay Nair are not a big deal. Vijay Nair used to work for the party, so he talked to our party leaders.
Today, when the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal emerged as a challenge against BJP's dictatorship and BJP's politics of hate and challenging Prime Minister Modi and the BJP from the streets to the Parliament, the fear arises in their minds that Arvind Kejriwal should be put behind bars. They are saying there was a scam worth hundreds of crores. They arrested Satyendra Jain, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and now our National Convener, but they haven't found a single rupee. It had been 2 years, BJP's ED, CBI have raided more than 500 places, they did not find a single evidence and or any money.
The AAP leader said that the BJP and Modi have only one aim, that Arvind Kejriwal should be kept out of the Lok Sabha elections and to topple our governments in Delhi and Punjab. They hate democracy so much that they cannot tolerate governments elected by the people. Kang said that the BJP is not going to come to power in 2024. INDIA bloc and the Aam Aadmi Party led a huge rally yesterday at Ramlila Ground against the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal and the way people have made up their minds to show the way out to this dictatorial and hate-spreading government of BJP. Everyone witnessed BJP murdering democracy in Chandigarh, how they buy MLAs where they fail to form government. The people of Punjab and our country won't tolerate this. To save our democracy and constitution, people will vote against the BJP.
