The news of the death of a 25-year-old woman under suspicious circumstances has been received today in Punjabi Bagh Colony under the local police station Salem Tabri. According to information, the deceased woman has been identified as Pooja Devi's wife Sunny Kumar. Jaideep Jakhar, the in-charge of Salem Tabri police station, said that some mischievous element in the village had given wrong information to the police that the woman had been beaten to death, while the deceased Pooja was suffering from the disease of T. B.
When the deceased's father Naresh and mother Mamata came to know about their daughter's death on the phone, they said that Pooja was ill before marriage and was on medication. He said that till date, Pooja has never complained about being beaten by her in-laws. At present, Police has taken possession of the body of the deceased Pooja and sent it to the hospital for post-mortem.
