Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University Organises an Awareness Programme about the Social Issues

Department of Commerce and Management of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University hosted an awareness programme aimed at sensitising students about the social issues in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club. The event commenced with a warm welcome by Dr. Navleen Kaur, Head of the Department.
In his impactful address, the Vice Chancellor Professor (Dr.) Pritpal Singh emphasized the transformative power of education and encouraged participants to harness their intellect and creativity for the betterment of society.Dr. Sikander Singh, Dean Students Welfare and Dr. Hardev, Head Department of Religious Studies further motivated students, urging them to channel their talents towards addressing societal challenges.The event featured engaging quizzes, stimulating discussions, and creative competitions including rangoli and poster making. Participants showcased their talents and innovative ideas, addressing themes ranging from environmental sustainability to gender equality.In recognition of their achievements, cash prizes were awarded to the winners. The top three winners of the quiz competition received prizes of Rs1100, Rs 800, and Rs 500 respectively. Similarly, winners of the rangoli and poster making competitions were awarded prizes of Rs 500, Rs 300, and Rs 200.Guneet Kaur, Assistant Professor in Commerce expressed her gratitude to all the dignitaries, faculty members and participants for their contributions towards making the event a success.
