The removal of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh Ji and Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Jathedar by the executive committee of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), under the influence of Sukhbir Badal, is a black day for the Khalsa Panth. I strongly condemn this unjust and politically motivated action.
This act is a direct violation of the Miri-Piri principle established by Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, which ensures the balance of spiritual and temporal leadership. Over time, politics has started dominating our religious affairs, whereas religion should guide politics.
Now is the time for Sikhs across the world to unite and reclaim the lost glory of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. The sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and his family for the Khalsa Panth remind us that we must always be ready to stand for righteousness and the sovereignty of our faith.
I urge the Sikh Sangat to come together, rise against this injustice, and restore the dignity of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
