Desh Bhagat University Honoured with Top Recognition of Disha Indian Awards

In a proud and momentous occasion, Dr. (Er) Sandeep Singh, President of Desh Bhagat University, has been conferred with the prestigious Disha Award by the Governor of Punjab, Gulab Chand Kataria during the fifth Disha Indian Awards ceremony held at Hotel JW Marriott, Chandigarh.
Further elevating the university’s distinction, Desh Bhagat University was honoured with the "Best University of North India" award, recognizing its unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and community development.
This esteemed recognition celebrates Dr. Sandeep Singh’s visionary leadership and outstanding contributions to the field of education, which have played a pivotal role in the university’s rapid growth and reputation as a centre of excellence. The event was also attended by Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, who praised the efforts of Disha Trust for empowering women through its Disha Employment Campaign, aimed at uplifting the daughters of Punjab. On this Occasion The Governor of Punjab honoured 22 distinguished individuals with the "Disha Indian Award- Pride of Nation", acknowledging their exemplary service across various fields. The event was graced by several prominent personalities including Avinash Rai Khanna, senior BJP leader; Satnam Singh Sandhu, Member of Rajya Sabha; Padma Shri awardee Jagjit Singh Dardi; and Sargun Kaur, Director of Manohar Company. Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, and Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Disha Women Welfare Trust for organizing such a meaningful and inspiring programme. Dr. Zora Singh said that this moment of recognition serves as both an inspiration and affirmation of Desh Bhagat University’s unwavering commitment to building a brighter, more inclusive future through education.
