Just ahead of the Tarn Taran by-election, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD, Badal) suffered a major setback as its leader and sitting Sarpanch Jashandeep Singh, along with many of his supporters, joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday.
Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar, in the presence of Working President Amansher Singh Sherry Kalsi, Sarwan Singh Dhun, and State General Secretary Harchand Singh Barsat, formally inducted Jashandeep Singh and his associates, Panch Avtar Singh, Panch Davinder Singh, Panch Pargat Singh, Panch Darshan Singh, Panch Narinder Pal Kaur, Baljit Kaur, and Kanwar Jagdeep Singh Ladda Chhichrewal, into the Aam Aadmi Party.
