In light of the directives issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib regarding the Akali Dal's recruitment, former MP and senior Akali leader Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, who arrived in Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, raised serious questions about the law and order situation in Punjab. He stated that today, no one feels secure due to the increasing incidents of violence, robbery, and extortion demands from common people. Prof. Chandumajra criticized the Centre's decision to deploy CISF at BBMB Nangal, calling it a direct interference in Punjab's jurisdiction. He suggested that instead of staging protests in Nangal for water protection, the Chief Minister should protest in Delhi. Prof. Chandumajra also expressed disappointment over the Chief Minister's failure to effectively represent Punjab's interests in the NITI Aayog meeting. He emphasized that the Chief Minister should have demanded a special package for Punjab from the Centre considering the state's border issues and adverse environment. To ensure justice for Punjab, Prof. Chandumajra suggested that a delegation from all parties should meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to raise Punjab's issues. Senior Akali leaders Darbara Singh Randhawa, Jai Singh Bara, OSD Hardev Singh Harpalpur, and other leaders were also present on the occasion.
