L&T CONTRIBUTES RS 5 CRORE FOR CHARDIKALA MISSION

Chandigarh, October 6-

In a humanitarian gesture, the staff and management of multinational giant Larsen and Toubro company has contributed Rs 5 crore to the Chardikala Mission started by the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for helping the flood victims of the state.

Handing over the cheque to the Chief Minister Board of Director DK Sen, CEO Nabha Power Plant Suresh Narang, Branch Manager Chandigarh Jaswant Singh and Administration Head Nabha Power Plant Gaganveer Cheema said that it is the moral duty of the company to help the flood victims of the state. They said that coming forward to help the flood ravaged people, the staff and management of the company has contributed Rs 5 crore to the state government. They said that the company stands in solidarity with the victims of the natural catastrophe in this hour of grave crisis.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister said that Chardikala Mission is an initiative aimed at supporting the welfare of flood victims in Punjab. Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the multinational company for this noble gesture, he said that several philanthropists have already come forward to support the Chardikala Mission. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Mission Chardikala is a global fundraising campaign which has been launched to raise funds for the state government’s rehabilitation initiatives for the 2025 Punjab flood victims.
