Desh Bhagat University (DBU) has entered into a strategic partnership with PI-RAHI, a collaborative initiative of Panjab University, Chandigarh, and IIT Ropar, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Rajat Sandhir, Director of PI-RAHI, and Dr. Parveen Bansal, Dean of Research and Development, DBU.
The agreement is a significant outcome of the recently held event "Syn-Pharma", organized by PI-RAHI, and has been conceptualized under the visionary leadership of Dr. Jatinder Kaur Arora, a national awardee known for her groundbreaking contributions to women empowerment through science and technology. The initiative also received enthusiastic support from Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University.
The MoU outlines collaborative efforts in research, innovation, and global capacity-building. Key figures such as Mr. Arun Malik, Director of International Relations, and Ms. Neha, Chief Operating Officer, played instrumental roles by emphasizing the international dimensions of this collaboration. During the meeting, Dr. Jatinder Kaur Arora encouraged the teams to expand their collaborative outreach through capacity-building programs in underdeveloped nations such as Namibia, Ghana, Kenya, and Tanzania, thereby strengthening global academic and scientific cooperation. Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University extended full support for the joint initiative. As a next step in the partnership, DBU and PI-RAHI are set to co-host a focused meet on the Ayush industry, addressing current challenges and exploring collaborative solutions that bridge the gap between academia, industry, and consumers. This MoU marks a pivotal step toward fostering innovation, strengthening academic-industry linkages, and expanding global outreach through shared vision and expertise.
