Desh Bhagat University NCC Unit Pays Tribute to Kargil heroes

The NCC Unit of Desh Bhagat University organized a solemn and inspiring ceremony to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas, honouring the valour and supreme sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the 1999 Kargil War. The event aimed to instill a deep sense of patriotism, courage, and reverence for the armed forces among cadets and the wider university community.
The celebration commenced with a floral tribute to the Kargil heroes, led by Prof. (Dr.) Amarjeet Singh, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academics), accompanied by the Registrar Dr Surinder Kapoor and other dignitaries. This was followed by an impressive synchronized drill display by NCC cadets, reflecting discipline, unity, and dedication. Prof. (Dr.) Amarjeet Singh delivered an inspiring address, underscoring the importance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the indomitable spirit of the Indian Armed Forces. He recounted stories of extraordinary bravery from the Kargil conflict and urged the cadets to embody the core values of duty, discipline, and devotion to the nation. The address concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotic fervour. The event served as a heartfelt tribute to the nation’s brave soldiers and inspired all present to uphold the ideals of national service. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the NCC Officer-in-Charge Lt Tabish Ali and ANO Chamanpreet followed by refreshments.
