Tarn Taran, November 4
Aam Aadmi Party Punjab leader and AAP candidate for Tarn Taran by-election Harmeet Singh Sandhu on Monday launched a blistering attack on Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring for his derogatory, casteist remarks against late senior Congress leader Sardar Buta Singh, calling the statement a “shameful reflection of caste arrogance and deep-rooted prejudice” within the Congress party.
Sandhu said that Raja Warring’s words are not a slip of the tongue but a deliberate insult to the entire Dalit community, a crime born of arrogance, not ignorance. “Warring’s so-called apology is nothing but a desperate attempt to cover up his caste pride and save his chair. It is not repentance, it is damage control,” said Sandhu.
